UDProtect remote

UDProtect remote can be designed for Backup as a Service (BaaS), Disaster Recovery as a service (DRaas), annual DR testing and File Archiving.

UDProtect Remote is the perfect compliment to your onsite Arcserve 8000 UDP Appliance. The privately managed cloud based dedicated storage allows for your Arcserve UDP Appliance (or one of our UDProtect Appliances) to send backups and Virtual Standbys to a dedicated cloud repository.  The data is fully encrypted during transit and at rest.

Because each Arcserve repository is hosted on your own dedicated hardware platform your business knows where its data is located and can even collect the appliance should there be a requirement to rapidly restore terabytes of data.

Arcserve Cloud

Public versus Private Cloud

UDProtect remote is the perfect partner to deliver offsite private replication for your Arcserve UDP Appliance. UDProtect Remote provides a number of advantages over the public cloud and can work out cheaper.

  • Predictable Fixed Costs based on capacity
  • Faster Restoration
  • Daily Backup Checks
  • Business Class Support
  • Dedicated Private Hardware

Tier 4

The UDProtect private cloud backup service provides a true extension to your existing server and network infrastructure. Some of the core features of our service are similar to the public versions of our competitors but we are unique in the fact we dedicate an entire hardware solution to each of our valued customers. Known as single-tenancy, you can rest assured that your data will never reside on the same physical server as another customer or even a competitors.

Each server is held securely in a Tier 4 data centre with fully redundant subsystems (cooling, power, network links, storage etc) and compartmentalised security such as CCTV, Access control and no unsupervised datacentre visitors.
